ABOUT US
Located in the heart of historic Downtown Brooksville, our church was founded in 1879 as a center point of the community. Our mission is to nurture disciples of Jesus Christ who WORSHIP passionately, LOVE extravagantly, and SHARE faith courageously.
We are a church focused on outreach and serving our community. Outreach ministries include a community food pantry, youth group for middle and high school students, children’s ministry for preschoolers and elementary students, missions around the world, regular Bible studies, and more.
Sunday morning services are led by Pastor Clark McClain at 10:00 am. Free coffee and donuts are available before service.
Brooksville Methodist is rooted in the Wesleyan theological tradition, and is affiliated with the Global Methodist Church. The Global Methodist Church seeks to make disciples of Jesus Christ who worship passionately, love extravagantly, and witness boldly.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
About God:
At the heart of our beliefs lies the understanding that God is one eternal being, yet existing in three unique but connected persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This concept, called the Trinity, has been a cornerstone of our faith for generations. God is the all-powerful force who brought the universe into existence and continues to hold it together.
Scripture References:
Genesis 1:1; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 4:24-25; Galatians 4:6-7
About Jesus:
Jesus Christ, the Son of God and second person of the Holy Trinity, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus is the embodiment of both perfect divinity and complete humanity, and bridges the gap between heaven and earth. Through His suffering, death, and glorious resurrection after three days, He provided the only way of salvation for humankind. Ascending to heaven, He now reigns in majesty alongside the Father. One day, He will return to Earth, wielding ultimate authority as Judge and King of all creation, setting things right once and for all!

1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Philippians 2:5-11; John 14:6-7
About the Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit forms the third person of the Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit’s prompting awakens us to the longing in every heart for Jesus’ embrace. When we recognize our need for and accept the presence of the Holy Spirit into our lives, He becomes a resident within each believer’s heart. He bestows upon each of us unique gifts, and transforms our heart with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. By surrendering to His guidance, believers embark on a transformative journey towards becoming more like Jesus each and every day.
Scripture References:
John 16:7-13; Galatians 5:22-25
About Humanity:
Men and Women are created in God's image, designed to reflect God’s character of love, to join God in the creative process, and to connect in relationship with both God and each other. However, God’s image within us is obscured by the shadow of our continued rebellion against God's guidance, known as sin. We recognize that not one of us is perfect and we all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. In our sin a chasm is formed between us and God which is only bridged by Jesus Christ, the only one who has lived a sinless life. Therefore, every one of us is in need of God’s forgiveness and salvation through his son Jesus Christ.
Scripture References:
Genesis 1:27; Romans 3:23
About Salvation:
Salvation is a gift of God which we receive through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not something that can be earned, nor is it deserved. Instead, it is graciously offered to us because of the faithful obedience of Jesus Christ through his life, death, resurrection, and ascension. From Christ’s obedience we receive God’s saving grace.

Romans 5:8,9; Romans 6:23
About the Bible:
The Bible is God’s word to each of us. It was written by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The scriptures are the full and final authority on all matters of faith and the guide for our lives. Contained within the pages of the Bible is everything necessary for our salvation.
